Well that's unfortunate

setting: I drove* to Costco and decided to park a little farther away where there were fewer cars.
mom: Can't you park closer?! It's so cold! I don't want to walk so far.
me: It's not that far...and I don't know how to park there.
mom: You should just stick to public transportation then.
me: I should just move to Chicago or New York.
mom: Your income will never allow you to live in either of those places.
*: It should be noted that I've only been driving for less than a week.
