Anne Taylor Loft: “style studio” outfits.
I digg.
J.Crew’s Fall2010 lookbook is absolutely gorgeous.

Since I’m going shopping with friends tomorrow, decided I’d make a polyvore set for some inspiration/ideas. The Dooney bag is currently on sale :X…what to do…

Architectural shoes by Balenciaga…
The latest collection by Balenciaga features footwear that takes an architectural approach, mixing block heels with a collage of materials. The collection was designed by Pierre Hardy to match the high-tech materials of Nicolas Ghesquiere’s clothing designs. The shoes are made from a range of materials that include leather, wood, plastic, metal and a few newer high tech materials. The designs feature classic forms like the loafer and brogue, reinvented with the square heels made from collaged bits of plastic that are reminiscent of Memphis Design. Other designs even have slip-in style front that take a design cue from water ski bindings. (via)

Italian Leather Paper Bags.
I appreciate the absurdity in recreating six pack holders and paper grocery bags in Italian leather while being designed in Germany and hand built in Los Angeles. KimKim Artifacts have the cajones to claim this product is eco-friendly, despite the fact that it kills an animal. Thanks Yanko Design!
Italy > Germany > LA = quite a carbon footprint but HEY, KINDA SEXY LOOKING, sadly heh

I’ve been wanting a leather jacket for quite some time now but have been turned off by synthetic materials or ridiculous price tags. $200 is pretty average for non-brand names from Wilson’s Leather or Urban Outfitters or even Express and Abercrombie. More if you’re going for brands (which I’m not).
Being New Year’s (with major sales), I decided to walk around downtown SF before meeting up with some people for dinner. To my amazement, I found these gorgeous genuine leather jackets at Mango (originally priced at $179.99) for $89… but I couldn’t justify buying something without having much of an income right now… so I didn’t. Now I regret it, and SF is the only place with a Mango store in NorCal… so all I can do is blog about it then get over it.

I actually like this outfit a lot. That jacket looks like the motocross jacket I really wanted to get from Express a few seasons back…
