“The LUC chair is stackable and plays with the theme of a band, which takes up the substructure and is optically closed to the backrest. This theme can be found in the base again. The base is being considered as one 16mm steel tube. Seat and backrest are made of bent 2mm aluminum and are connected to each other at their lowest point. There both parts are fixed “invisible” like a “sandwich”. So it appears as if the seat is “hanging” and that seat and backrest are made out of one piece. For the comfort seat and backrest are upholstered with deep-drawn PET-felt in different colors”

the unstudio do-everything furniture. the color combos are nice, but i’m not sure the multi-functionality can really be as broad as they profess.

Gene and Heidi’s Apartment

Is it sad that I recognize that sofa and know it was designed by Hella Jongerius for Vitra?! I sat on one in a MOT store in Taiwan… and fell in love. Her name also stood out, and she also appeared in the documentary, Objectified, thus solidifying my memory of her.
