gorgeous & witty in design

I’m in loooove… only 99 bags of each design are produced.
“I wanted to create accessories that were attractive to both men and women. In addition to being highly functional, each bag has hidden details that its owner will discover and appreciate. With such an abundance of product in today’s market overloaded with faux bells and whistles I wanted my bags to distinguish themselves from the masses by being distinctively void of pretension. I believe there is a select group of people who want something that is truly special, unique and extraordinary. Producing in limited quantities ensures the rarity of the design, guaranteeing that only a limited number of people will be carrying any given style.” — A. Toy
umm, wow. I love the new Kristin round satchel! collection page also features a video about the designer’s inspiration — a clasp she saw, a painting she found.
Reed Krakoff knows whats beautiful. Wow.
p.s. Reed Krakoff is the President/Executive Creative Director of Coach.

Remember when I obsessed over MATT & NAT for their hardware detailing (and never bought one) and also mentioned that I preferred somewhat unisex handbags (because I just don’t do girly)? I’ve found my brand: TANO.
While in Taiwan, I really admired my friend’s worn-in, genuine leather messenger bag by Tough, but I only saw it once…in Singapore. Since then, I’ve been on the search for a leather messenger, only to be disappointed by boring designs or man-made materials.
Thanks to Piperlime’s “Rachel Zoe’s pick“‘s, I stumbled upon Tano handbags and did some more research. The more reliable online carriers I can find (besides Piperlime) are Must Have Bag, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf’s…but none of them carry my top three fav’s. I’ve compiled my favorites anyway (with names for future reference, when I actually have a job).
gotta love the names, ah.
