Lights Out: “’Nowhere Near Here’ is a stop motion animation that uses a combination of light with stencils and long exposure photography to tell the story of a dog running around the city at night, doing whatever a dog does.”

  8. 100 Places To Remember Before They Disappear →

    cksaul:

What follows is a list - arbitrary, to be sure, and far from all-inclusive - of some of the places that could disappear, or be radically changed, if climatologists are right in their predictions of global warming. It is also a collection of some of the most beautiful places on earth and a reminder that they are magical, fragile, and ultimate, transient.

Amazing photos with a sad message. Makes me want to travel even more. Via Leilani.

from a series on London’s remaining professional darkrooms by Richard Nicholson

I took the second to last photography class offered at Berkeley before they shut down the darkroom…forever. I doubt I’ll ever be able to play with an enlarger ever again :(

Télégramme: A New Magazine about the Beauty of Photography

One of the interesting consequences (or perks) of not listing your flickr photographs as “all rights reserved,” is finding out after the fact that your photos are included in a magazine. I’m pretty excited to be surprised that a couple of my old Polaroid shots are in a digital publication.
