So, I guess some bicycle racks are going to be installed by SFMTA in Japantown sometime soon. In the mean time, just imagine that they are there, and chain your bike to sign. I’m sure nobody will notice? But seriously I wonder if this was general citywide increases in racks, or if someone/group of someones lobbied for it.
Speaking of improvements to the streetscape in japantown, 150 cherry blossom trees are going to be planted in Japantown this year to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first official Japanese envoy to the US. Now that will be something worth photographing!
