The designs feature classic forms like the loafer and brogue, reinvented with the square heels made from collaged bits of plastic that are reminiscent of Memphis Design.   6. Asian streets are significantly dirtier than American streets (not to mention that it was raining 80% of the time I was in Taipei). Needless to say, my Merrell’s got pretty dirty by the time I came back—so I threw them in the wash&dryer.

    Then I proceeded to polish them for hours…
